New msn Spaces blog for SmartLogik Action Group

Hi everyone. We have just set up our blog on msn Spaces to further publicise our Action Group. Blogging is really taking off now and we expect it will explode even quicker now that Microsoft is supporting it. We are using blogging to publicise our group and reach out to the thousands of shareholders who do not yet know about the SmartLogik Action Group. You can support us by linking to us from your blog. That way your friends who visit your blog will find out about us. You never know, one of your friends might be a SmartLogik shareholder and want to know about our action.

Our case is a fundamental one that is all about Corporate Governance and Shareholder Rights. By linking to us and supporting us, you will be helping to improve Corporate Governance for everyone. If you are a shareholder or even if you are not, support this campaign, because the issues involved affect all of us directly or indirectly. It could be your other shareholding, pension or job that is affected next time!

Please read on and visit our links to find out about our story, which is an indictment of our modern times and so called shareholder democracy....

We represent the tens of thousands of shareholders of a company called SmartLogik Group PLC.

In April 2002, tens of thousands of shareholders became disenfranchised when a “waiver” was arranged with the stock exchange. This waiver enabled the new board of directors - a new board that had only been in place for 9 months - to sell the valuable core assets of the company without firstly asking the shareholders to vote in an Extraordinary General Meeting. By taking this action, they succeeded in brushing aside the voting rights of the thousands of people who collectively owned the company. We are now fighting to make our voices heard and obtain compensation for this major injustice.

Every vote counts in a true democracy and, as we have seen in the Ukraine election, people do not like it when the democratic process is interfered with. And in the corporate world too, every shareholder vote counts, but only when we are allowed to vote - so what happened to shareholder democracy and Corporate Governance in the case of SmartLogik?
